Typical installation
A recent installation on a farm in Swartruggens:

  • Requirement: Run all lighting and basic plug points on a solar power system. General power needs are fed by a solar power system backed by the generator that the farm owner already had a special requirement: keep the UPS charged. Plan My Power designed the MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) to charge the high voltage of the UPS battery array. The battery voltage of the UPS is 72 Volts which is higher than the standard battery (48 Volts)
  • Installation time was 2 days

Client feedback:

"Steve Parry is the person who stole my heart in the renewable race when I decided to go with solar on the farm. I now have eight large panels and two small ones on the main house; two large ones for my cottage and two large ones which feed my stables and the guest cottage. All 12 large panels I bought from Steve. .... (PS - having seperate energy units is also a massive boost if one system goes down by the way). Of course batteries are useful if you want storage so there's another cost factor, but you can begin installation with a large battery bank, much larger than your solar capacity, and you can add panels as you go along...."
