DC to AC power inverters for your office

DC-AC power inverters for the office environment. There is often a need for emergency power back up for critical appliances such as:

  • Computers

For most businesses it is critical to have an office power back up solution in place - a power outage means loss of revenue and potential sales!!

Both modified sine wave power inverters and true sine power inverters have derivatives that include a generator transfer switch. Some are specifically designed to operate with a generator or interruptive power source. In other words, these inverters are ideal where other means for charging the batteries is available from either solar panels or external battery chargers. Obviously in the office environment, most likely there will be a mains supply, such as Eskom in South Africa, however unreliable this power source is. Using the mains supply, when available, either an external or internal battery charger will charge the bank of batteries, storing the necessary power required for those critical times when there is no mains supply, and you would normally be left in the dark. The stored power in the batteries is then readily available to be used by a suitably sized power inverter to provide you with 230VAC power supply, needed by all your critical office equipment.

The DC AC power inverter / battery charger combination can be used as an extended AC power supply system.

Combination power inverters have built in battery chargers and transfer switches, which makes them an affordable, hassle free solution for your “uninterrupted power requirements”, giving you almost seamless power supply, by switching over automatically to provide emergency back up during power failures or limited power availability.

The big benefit of these power inverter units over proper UPS systems is that you can size your own battery pack to it, thus providing you with as many hours of back up as you need.

They also have 3 times power overload surge ability which is absent from most online UPS systems.

The combination power inverter/charger units can be used in conjunction with very small and much more affordable UPS units, for the likes of computers, which require a very fast switch over function, in order not to lose any data.
